What song gets you tapping when stuck in traffic?
Not long ago, Russell Woolf, presenter of the Drive Show on 720 ABC Perth, asked you to help us come up with Perth's favourite driving songs.
After an incredible response, a long list has been whittled down to the cream of the crop, leaving 32 great tunes that have been put together on a compilation CD called Your Favourite Driving Songs. It includes classics from artists like Cold Chisel, ZZ Top, The Church, Tears for Fears, Jet, John Butler Trio, Paul Kelly and Steve Earle, to name just a few.
To officially launch the CD, 720 ABC Perth with the support of The City of Stirling are holding a free public concert at Scarborough Beach where Russell will broadcast his Drive Show and top Perth cover band Peace, Love And All That Stuff will perform a selection of the best driving songs as voted for by you!
So, if you're hungry for good music, invite a friend, pack a picnic and join Russell live at the Scarborough Beach Amphitheatre on Thursday 21 February from 4pm. Then catch Your Ultimate Drive Concert from 6pm.
And if you love the songs that you helped pick, you can grab a copy of the CD on the day (or from an ABC Shop).
